It was like four in the morning, but I had to snap some pics cuz my girl is fierce. I think I went a bit overboard with the Gaussian Blur shit, I may go back and re-edit this shit. The pix are kinda painful to look at now that I'm talking about them.

So this is the Cheapheart Lilee, the alternate version without the signature streaks. Her stock hairstyle is so damn boring, but I pulled it up and shoved some chopsticks into it. Her clothes are all Bratz, but my favorite is the Dynamite Cloe belt. You like?

Like my FR girls, my Bratz did have profiles written up for them. But that file was on my harddrive at the job I got laid off at, so I never got the chance to send it to myself before I was released. Oh well. In time, I suppose. I still love her. Character-wise, I still haven't decided if she's a platinum haired hapa or an "exotic" European. Eh. Her official Bratz nickname was never released, so I'm trying to figure that one out too. All I know is that she's a happy, smileyfaced style maven with a serious hard-on for all things Galliano.

Till next picture post, betches!!

She's central to my Fashion Royalty universe as W Cosmetics' Japanese spokesmodel...

Misaki Nanahara

-Fluent in: Japanese (born and raised in Osaka; still somewhat weak in English)
-Favorite Labels: Lacoste, Miu Miu, Rag & Bone
-Likes: parfaits, pearls, leopard print anything, pop music, warm colors, roasted yams
-Dislikes: red meat, pork, raw vegetables, big dogs, getting wet, sleeping in the dark, having to introduce herself to others in English

Formerly a loud-mouthed mago-gyaru from Osaka, Misaki graduated to style icon status her second year of high school when she was discovered by Veronique at a train station. Veronique, on business, spotted Misaki with her gyaru-sa, as she was imitating a billboard of Vanessa, spot-on. What amazed Veronique the most was Misaki (although hamming it up) didn't even have to feign emotion--she could see it flashing in her eyes. Of course, it was all in fun for Misaki, and while she lived for style, it never occurred to her that fashion and modeling were something she could actually pursue as a profession, especially in Osaka. Misaki was impressed by Veronique's wonderful Japanese, but for a woman so poised and so bold to approach her--speaking nearly perfect Tokyo-style Japanese no less--instantly won over her admiration.

Mittan (as her friends call her) has a slight temper, and is prone to brattiness and pouting fits if she isn't able to get her way, but she's by no means a diva...not even close. She is quite amazed by the world Veronique brought her into, and is more times than not awestruck by the industry she's quickly becoming an icon within. The language barrier keeps her from being close with the girls of W, but she's learning and forming bonds with some of the others. She stays true to her Osaka roots, is pleased by simple pleasures and lives as modest a lifestyle a supermodel can live. Like Veronique said to her one night as they were having dinner in Kobe: "Be lovable, adorable, loved and adored, but fame is fire, it'll burn a wicked hole in your heart." The young Misaki has been staunch in heeding Ms. Perrin's advice ever since.

Misaki reigns supreme as Japan's high-end ad campaign queen (the crown jewel being her W work), but her title is being threatened by the meddling Erin Salston and the evil Momoko of Japan's Se/Vo Models. Since the fall of Missima, Misaki's popularity has skyrocketed to idol status. She's been courted for numerous drink brands, cell phone companies and has even been offered to host a popular night time music show. She's even been made into a limited edition doll in her own likeness! In this, her loyalty to Veronique is steadfast and she has declined many offers to keep her schedule clear. She's not in it for the money, clearly, but she needs never to worry--W gives her more than she'll ever need.

Sorry these pictures are kinda shitty. I lurve her 'fit, but the weather's been intolerable for a decent photoshoot. Also, my new place doesn't have any little nooks for proper dolly pics. I guess I'll have to spring for a backdrop and some new lamps. Or whatever. Blah.

What's the most endearing thing a person (non-collector) has said about your toys or you as a collector?

I went home to Seattle for Thanksgiving. My parents flew my brother and me out to spend it with them. My youngest brother AC was already home from New York, so it was kinda trippy that all us boys were home at the same time. My mom waxed nostalgic the entire time we were there and she even said, "OMG my life is normal again."

Well, anyways, my mother asked me how I was doing, and in normal fashion I tactfully sidestepped anything that would cause concern, and left it as nominal as I could manage since she stresses herself out to an Nth degree if I tell her otherwise. She put her hand on my knee and said, "Do you still do dolls?"
I nodded.
She then said, "Never let go of your talents. You're very good at what you do, anak, don't give up because this is what will make you famous some day."

I smiled really big, mainly because Camille from ANTM C2 said her walk would make her famous and that's all I could think about after my mom said what she did. Still, it made my day.

I'm happy my mom supports me...personal pursuits, education, employment, everything. She knows I bite my tounge so she won't worry, but she's always been supportive. We talk to each other as adults, more like good friends than son and mother. I think the only time she ever really shut me down was that time I applied to Hawaii Pacific and UofH and got into both. My mother and I don't discuss whether or not I have a girl or boyfriend because she doesn't want me dating period (and has said so expressly)--my brothers changed for girls, almost radically. Sometimes I think she thinks of me as the one that didn't go wayward, that one doll in your collection you keep pristine because as soon as you do something to it, it'll never be the same again. She doesn't know, though either way I think she secretly hopes I'm asexual so I stay me, forever and ever, dolls and all.

On the last day I was there, AC's best friend Alex stopped by to see us. I hadn't seen him in nearly five years since I live here in SoCal now, but it was like old times. I was really happy to see him. Alex took my other brother EJ outside to talk cars--they popped his hood and did the butch, rice rocket racer thing. I followed, but since I don't give a flying fuck about cars I smoked a stog as they went ahead and did their thing. As they proceeded to change some intake valve, Alex stepped from beneath the hood and said, "Hey, do you still do your toys, F?"
I was like, "Yeah...moreso than ever. Why?"
"Remember when you let us play with your dolls and we made a war in the upstairs living room? That was crazy!"
I smiled softly. "Yeah, that was pretty crazy," I said, remembering it like it was yesterday.
Alex then pulled back his hoodie and said, "It's like so crazy that you were into that stuff way back when cuz toys are crazy now. It's like everybody collects them now and it's like...whoa, like, nuts now. That's what I like about you, F, you set trends."

Do you love your dolls this much? :)

I totally hate taking pictues at night because my camera's a big giant, tempermental piece of suck. But Kyori still looks fierce, right? Heh.

Whoever writes the Fashion Royalty storyline is insane. INSANE. The convention a few weeks ago revealed that Eugenia Frost is actually Eugenia PERRIN Frost, a cousin of Veronique and Vanessa. Under the direction of Veronique, Eugenia married Perry Marino (president of Missima Cosmetics and ex-husband of Natalia Fatale) in order to topple his organization from the inside out. Kyori opened a club, died and was buried and on the third day rose again after a short-term sabbatical in Switzerland. Lukas Maverick debuted (as a pale-skinned gigolo no less) and schemed against Miss Erin Salston, Isha, Darius, Pierre and Adele missed the 6:30 to London and a gloriously radiant Agnes re-emerged as friend to W. And that's when my FR story died.

Well, no, not really. I kid. But I was like DAYAM. The "creative" minds at Integrity really let the typing monkeys go buck wild this year. It's interesting that they define each collection with a story, and allow the storyline to continue season after season. Very bold if you ask me, seeing as Mattel gives Barbie a different life and personality with every doll they release. I like that their characters are given a personality, but their personalities aren't allowed to dictate their personal style. They have a great wealth of style ideas there and I look forward to seeing their fourth quarter line, Kyori, Adele and Veronique in particular.

In my FR world, official canon follows suit up until Convention. Kyori, creative director at Missima, has hired a team of model coordinators to assume her former duties. Her lead director is the fabulous RuPaul! Who better to woo the beautiful than the most beautiful of all? Under RuPaul, Kyori's cache of hot models has doubled. Erin, Nadja and Ayumi are still Kyori's favorites, but newly recruited Eve Prudhomme ('Kitten' by her friends) is setting Missima's French campaigns abroil. Newcomers and model veterans alike have joined Missima's team in hopes of making headlines, basking in the limelight and swimming in the riches the company is infamous for.

Meanwhile, Veronique of W is combating the controversy she's created by hiring former I.P. models Jade and Alyssa. Her PR people are working feverishly to cover up her secret meetings with former H. Hamilton model Candi. She takes it all in stride, as she prepares for Miss Colette Duranger's debut, Italian darling Miuccia's Milan campaign launch, Adele's co-op campaign with a well-respected non-profit that fights poverty in Africa, Isha's first solo American ad campaign and sister Vanessa's breathtaking new campaign set to launch during Paris Fashion Week.

As W and Missima skirmish with one another, Natalia Fatalé quietly plots to destroy Veronique, Agnes and Kyori in order to take over the world. Simultaneously, her younger sister Nastassia (!!) maliciously schemes to publically humiliate archrival Vanessa Perrin, challenge and conquer Isha in the box office and install the Fatalé name in its rightful place at the very top of the food chain....

So with the Convention, I'm kinda lost as to where Kyori will proceed, how Eugenia will fit in to it all and just where I can throw in a ferocious Janay. Darius doesn't really fit in anywhere any more, neither does the whole I.P. models thing. I guess I'll have to wait to see how the "Royal Drama" storyline ends this December. From there, fuck it. My FR will belong to me and only me!!

Smootches crotches, bitches! :-*

Hi all.

Yeah, I like totally suck and dropped off the face of the earth for a hot minute! Hard times, yah'll, hard times.

First, I moved! I was in the making of getting a really swanky two bed/two bath with my brother who just moved back to California, but my plans fell through very last minute. And I'm talkin' all-I-needed-were-the-keys, three-days-before-I-have-to-vacate last minute. It totally threw me for a loop and the entire, all-too-stressful debacle left me physically ill. Fortunately, I did find a place in time to make use of my U-Haul reservation, but it's a 45 minute commute in the morning and hour and a half in the afternoon. >_-;

I count my blessings though because I did find a place, am in good company and am regaining my health. I actually had to call in sick this past Monday because I couldn't move and started to black out while I was getting ready for work. Not fun. The stress of moving (and all associated...costs....) all finally coalesced, and took its toll on my body, even though my spirit (and mind) are moving a mile a minute. I'm trying to teach myself to cut back on stressing over everything and anything, else I suffer an anxiety attack...which I imagine is imminent if I don't cut it the fuck out.

Um, yeah, I hate being emo. Terrible, terrible thing for a grown boy like me.

MOVING IS A BITCH. Especially if you have to do it by yourself. What makes it worse is when your brother flakes on you because he got drunk the morning of. Ugh. All water under the bridge now though. I'm moved and taking it step-by-step. I still have a gang of stuff in my car (I don't know how my trunk is actually staying shut), but I know I have all the time in the world to take care of it.

In moving, I realized I have entirely too many toys. Ha, I say it like its a bad thing! But packing all that shit up made me re-evaluate my spending and buying habits and loathe toys. And its funny I say that because during the moving process, I hit up eBay like a madman and won all this awesome shit!! Aye, chico. So now that I'm finally here, I think I'll take a break from buying and actually work with all the great stuff I have. Like Confucious says, "It is better to want what you have than have what you want." I don't think I could ever live by a better mantra.

A list of some of the crap I bought in the last month that I haven't yet opened or played with yet:

Rare Find Isha
Living Dangerously Kyori
Glamour To Go Adele
Tete-a-tete Pierre
Foxy Lady RuPaul (nude)
Cool Girl Motoko Kusanagi
Winter Ball Giselle (nude)
Sailor Sweeties Kennedy & Chelsea
Juicy Bling Madison
Bratz Twiinz Oriana & Valentina
Babyz Twiinz Tess & Nona
Aurra Sing (loose)
G.I. Joe Stalker
[some weird G.I. Joe villian with a rockin' headmold]
Naruto, Naruto v. 2 & Rock Lee Deluxe Naruto figures
Winkie Guard & Winged Monkey
Wicked Witch of the West
Stolen Magic Barbie
3 Hottiez dolls

In the coming weeks, I will be preparing a list of toys I insist must leave me, including a lot of older, nude Bratz (haven't decided who yet), Barbie, clothes and accessories...all choice junk, if you ask me. With luck, I'll make enough to get my line together in time for third quarter 2007! Watch out now. Hehe....

Off to Vegas for the weekend! Keep it fresh, kids.

P.S. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, ANDREW! I still have your birthday presents, but thanks for bearing with me! Hope all your doll, boy and book wishes came true, come true and will come true this year. Congratulations on joining the Old Man Club! :)

The Big M introduced great characters with interesting personalities (however strange and contrived), and birthed the two best headmolds in Barbie's history: Lara and Blaine.

I swapped this former My Room Blaine onto a My Scene male body, and it works, miraculously. The oversized hands look good with his Air Force Ones (actual, unlicensed Air Force Ones, mind you), and...yeah. Dontcha just love him?

He's a member of the GBC (Gay Boy Committee), a group of attractive, young males that determine the social pecking order of my plastic community. Blaine is quieter than the rest, but what he lacks in vocal aplomb he compensates in style. He's slightly apathetic, somewhat aloof, but a good shoulder to cry on. He's Blaine...and totally gay.

I was inspired by some LJ buddies (dramking91 is a frickin' jeanius) to alter a bunch of Bratz jeans (must they all be flares? *barf*), so her pants are a result of that vein of creativity. I washed and reset her hair so it'd lay flat, and not choppy and sucky like it was in the box.

Her milky skin is a dream! Paired with the soft make-up, dark eyes and blue hair, she's one of my most prized Bratz...now if only I had time to repaint those lips....

Material Force. Material temptation; sometimes obsession

The Devil is often a great card for business success; hard work and ambition.

Perhaps the most misunderstood of all the major arcana, the Devil is not really "Satan" at all, but Pan the half-goat nature god and/or Dionysius. These are gods of pleasure and abandon, of wild behavior and unbridled desires. This is a card about ambitions; it is also synonymous with temptation and addiction. On the flip side, however, the card can be a warning to someone who is too restrained, someone who never allows themselves to get passionate or messy or wild - or ambitious. This, too, is a form of enslavement. As a person, the Devil can stand for a man of money or erotic power, aggressive, controlling, or just persuasive. This is not to say a bad man, but certainly a powerful man who is hard to resist. The important thing is to remember that any chain is freely worn. In most cases, you are enslaved only because you allow it.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

She's supposed to look fierce propped up against my Zelda and Narnia weaponry. Heh.

The color of her eyes gets on my nerves (black girls with blue "eyes" is a pet peeve of mine....), but her hair and facial screening do more than just compensate. Her 'do is just so bouncy and alive...I wish first edition Kidz Sasha's hair was as nice. They make quite the cute sisterly pair, don't they?

The Pixiez faces are fucking weird (only Dee will stick around, although on a regular Bratz body), but the Pixiez/Lilani body is pure greatness. My Pampered Pupz Sasha head was the first Sasha in the house to receive a Pixiez body (much to consternation of Live in Concert Sasha), and to great affect I might add. Because the anime eye print is my favorite (Live in Concert, Tokyo-A-Go-Go) I'm going to touch up her irises so she better fits with her hybridized sisteren...my favorite new crew of girls...more on those snatches later.

I'm on such a Sasha kick! It would be such a joy if MGA were to create more black Bratz girls with more than just hair color and skintone changes. *dreamily* Yeah, there's Tess, Nona and (arguably) Kiana, but they aren't as dynamic as Mz. Felicia. I wish she were a more prominent chick in the Bratz line-up because that skin color is just plain crazy.

And seeing her like this makes me totally crazy over the fact that MGA didn't make a Princess Sasha!! Girl would have killed in that line.

Her crimped hair is a lovely shade of chocolate brown. I'd have preferred black, but MGA has an aversion to making Sasha dolls with black hair. The metallic bubblegum pink lips kind of annoy me (I *hate* that color lip), but overall she's a great doll. I thought Sweetheart Sasha would pair better with second edition Kidz Sasha, but I couldn't resist how sweetly they looked with one another. Birthday Sasha definitely is on my list of girls that will receive a Pixiez body...her dress and shoes would look killer on it.

ANTM is officially boring now. Praise Almighty Ms. J is there to spice it up...he was fucking ferocious on the final leg of finalé's runway show. Otherwise, I'd have fallen asleep. However, it was a pretty tender moment when Eugena and Caridee embraced..."I'll win it for you."

I played Love & Berry the other day at Gameworks, and it was friggin' adorable. Fucking annoying, but adorable. I think funniest thing about me playing it was that I was wearing a doo-rag, lookin' all thug fabulous, crouched over, playing on this teeny tiny little console next to all the lil kid games trying to score a ballgown for Berry. I kept playing to get more clothes (the premise of the game is to gather as many clothing cards as you possibly can so you can compete at all the venues the game offers), ultimately ending up with four doodoo ass cards that clashed with one another. I got the tackiest idol dress ever, which I *had* to pair with heeled boots and tube socks, which totally killed my style points. It's funny because if you lack, let's say shoes, you have to step out in whatever the girls wakes up in the morning with.

Totally retarded game...my old ass shouldn't be bothering, but....eeeeeeeeee! I'm a sucker for dolly-like shit.

Speaking of dolls, I've finally started to arrange my two bookshelves into the scenarios I envisioned for each shelf. Bookshelf One has the Bratz and Babyz up top (since everyone else is too tall), the Model Muse girls in the salon underneath them, the Mattel girls (everyone without a Model Muse body) in the kitchen below them, a still unorganized Cool Girl/Cy Girl shelf and all my fashion and toy mags and books at the very bottom. In Bookshelf Numero Dos resides my faaaaaaaabulous Boyz up top (with a lone Babyz Harvey...can't wait to get Eitan so he has a playmate), Fashion Royalty in their parlor/boutique on the floor below, a street scene featuring my men figs, my still unfinished Star Wars/RAH GI Joe/Ad Hoc figs shelf, with a bunch of drawing references, comics and anime/manga illustration books in the bottom junk shelf.

My buddy (one of the few friends I've had for longer than 10 years) turned 25 this past weekend. His girl threw him a circus-themed party, complete with tents, a moon bounce, peanuts, balloons and a caricaturist. It was fun. And loaded with drunkeness. Liquor is so fun. *happy sigh* Mid-way through, I had to sober up and make my way to my cousin's to accompany her to her ultra posh company Christmas party. Tell me why did we have to sit with the youngest (and most snobby) agents up in there? Ugh. I almost killed a bitch. BUt it's all good cuz the filet mignon was good, as was the salmon du ber blanc, and the dancing was great. It was really strange seeing people dancing to Sexyback...especially since they were so far from being...um, hip hop.

Christmas is coming and I am so not prepared. What sucks is rent is due on the 20th, cable due Thursday, Dad's birthday on the 15th, Mom's birthday on the 30th, cell phone by the 25th and a shitload of nieces and nephews with very specific wishlists. BLAH. If my car weren't such a hoopty, maybe I'd have the luxury of buying a sleigh full of toys this year, but nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. *sniffle* My quarterly budget didn't work out this season, so now I gotta make do and hopefully give back to all those that gave to me.

Tis the season.

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Dreamgirls is coming. I cannot wait. I've memorized nearly every song on the single disc soundtrack. I will surely die upon watching the magnificence that is Jennifer Hudson. This movie better clean up at every award show this year; for once I'm actually excited to see an EDDIE MURPHY movie.

Riddley50 tagged me to tell the world six strange things about me...here goes:

1) I always carry a white handkerchief in my right back pants pocket, without fail. On the rare occasion I am out, I feel icky all day (I wipe my face cuz my pores ooze grease (yes, eww), and I can literally go through a packet of those blotter paper things in a day).

2) When I went to Japan, most all students at both of the schools I attended thought I was black, i.e. African-American, because 1) I "haabu biigu bodii, beri guudo fo fuutobooru" and 2) I wasn't white (*ahem* chalky) like the other three exchange students so by comparison I was apparently the most ethnic person they had ever saw in life. And that was astounding to me, as most of the boys on the sumo club and nearly all of the girls on the track club were as dark or darker than me. Hmph.

3) Growing up I wished my name were Ken or Brad or Eric. I grew up and realized how fucking dumb I was. I love me. *self-hug*

4) Aside from the disgustingness of my room, I am a complete neat freak. My car, while dirty on the outside, is organized from top to bottom (CDs, napkins, pens, even all the shit in the glove compartment), as is my desk at work (big paper clips, little paper clips, pens, highlighters, calculator tape). I eat neatly too, employing proper etiquette(my food comes to my mouth, not me to my food), much to the consternation of my brothers. I can be sloppy at times, but then when I realize how gross I'm being, I adjust. All this, and still geddo. Loves it.

5) Of the family, I am the only one that doesn't say, "I know, right." Blasphemous, I know.

6) At sixteen I could drink like a tank and sleep all night and all day. Now, I drink like a bird and automatically wake up at 7AM everyday, weekday or weekend.

Taa daa! Love me. <3

So I still haven't cleaned my room. Well, technically, I did when my best friend brought his friends over to practice for this hip-hop team they all tried out for (which they practiced in my room for because our garage was full). They were all trying to dance around all the nekkid doll bodies and partially rooted heads...dramady, straight dramady. It was so embarassing. So I, in one big swoop, shoved everything to the side and *BAMPF* my room was dramatically gigantic again. But then time passed and more toys made their way into my room...so, I'm back to square one: a bunch of shit all over the place and no real drive to organize any of it.

The ex's birthday is coming up and is celebrating it at G*Days at Disneyland this Sunday. I'm somewhat excited to go, not really since...well, it's Disneyland. But, I shall make the most of my $60 admission. C'est la vie. Red-shirted goodness here I come....

Dood, I made a Mattel Toy Store run last week and picked up Chinoserie for $10.00 and those übergay Mall Maniac boys. They are actually quite nice, despite not having opened them yet. My wallet got stir crazy so I went to Walmart and Target and bought the new basic Little Mermaid doll by Mattel (she has a new smaller belly-buttoned torso!!), Diamondz Sasha AND Vinessa. I love her coloring, but her hair needs hot water straightening cuz it looks a hot mess sewn to the box.

FR Homme is rumored to ship soon...and I am dreading it, as I have all the other dolls in the basic line, both Model Behavior girls and Femme du Monde Natalia. I am gonna go bankrupt...maybe I should finally start selling customs, no?

Oh yeah...I found the greatest hair source in the world for 1:6ness. It isn't exactly hair, but it looks great rooted....
